| TPH had signed a large export contract with National Media Group, Kuwait, the publishers of Alam Alywm
Daily Newspaper in Feb. , 2010. Alam Alywm Newspaper, a prominent Arabic daily with a circulation of
approx. 100,000 is a 40 page broadsheet newspaper, with 8 pages on glossy newsprint, ie. the top & middle
page webs are printed with UV web drying system. This newspaper presently being printed on job work will be
printed in-house on the new Orient machine. The Company will also print a magazine & do some semicommercial
jobs on this machine.
This 36,000 cph speed, 578 mm. cutoff state-of-the-art press with brushmist, pneumatics, motorization,
automatic colour registration & cutoff controls, has 9 Towers, 3 Folders, 10 Flying Splicers at right angle with
twin turner bars, UV web drying system on 2 towers & a stacker. It is presently under supply and the entire
press is expected to be up & running by Nov./ Dec., 2010. |

TPH is proud to have successfully executed this prestigious project. This 30,000 cph, 578 mm. cutoff press
equipped with all automation features like Brushmist, pneumatics, motorization etc., has 7 Towers with UV
web drying system on two towers, 7 Automatic Reel Changers, 2 Folders etc.
OAO "St.. Petersburg Newspaper Complex " , a 100 % state owned enterprise is the second largest
newspaper printing press in Russia and the largest in Petersburg. Spread over an area of 27, 019 square
meter, it has 317 employees. The monthly circulation of more than 120 newspapers in colour & black & white
printed by OAO “St. Petersburg Complex” is nearly 40 million copies. Some of their major newspaper titles are
- Arguments and Facts, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Soviet Sport, Russian Newspaper, Vedomosti & SPb Times.
They will be printing a few of these newspaper titles on the new Orient machine. Besides, they also plan to do
semi-commercial jobs on this press.
Commercial Production Begins on Orient Super Press at Transcraft’s
New Press Site at Chittagong, Bangladesh
This 560 mm. cutoff 30,000 cph press is the fifth Orient line at Transcraft, the largest newspaper publishing
company of Bangladesh, having two major daily newspapers namely Prothom Alo and The Daily Star. Both
these newspapers are market leaders among Bangla & English dailies respectively, in Bangladesh.
The new Orient Super machine has been installed at Chittagong, which is Transcraft’s first printing centre
outside Dhaka. This machine is capable of printing 24 pages broadsheet (14 colour & 10 black & white). It is a
testimony to Transcraft’s complete trust in TPH’s technical excellence and world class service standards.
TPH Installs Third Orient Press in Mauritius
Yukondale, Port of Louis, Mauritius are all set to launch their new daily tabloid & weekly magazine to be
printed on just installed Orient Super machine. This 546 mm. cutoff machine with all automation features has
4 Towers, 1 Mono Unit, 2 Folders with one of the towers having UV web drying system.
Baheer Printing, Kabul, Afghanistan Commences Book Printing on
Their Second Orient Super Machine
Baheer Printing Co. Ltd. , Kabul have commenced printing of school text books on the newly installed
Orient Super Machine. This 508 mm. cutoff machine with all automation features comprises 1 Tower & 1
Folder with ¼ folder.
Ministry of Defence, Myanmar Which Already has Two Orient Machine
Confirms An Order for Orient X-Cel Machine
Ministry of Defence, Nay Pyi Taw has strengthened its long standing association with TPH by ordering
third Orient X-Cel machine. This 578 mm. cutoff fully automated press has 2 Towers, 2 Mono Units and 1
Folder. This 36,000 cph press is expected to become operational by November 2010 in Yangon.

Robbar Publications have opted for an Orient Super Machine. This 560 mm. cuoff machine with all automation
features is capable of printing 20 pages broadsheet (12 colour & 8 black & white). It is slated to go into
production by end of this year in Dhaka.
Rangs Group, Dhaka one of the largest corporate houses in Bangladesh, are diversifying into newspaper
printing with ‘Shokaler Khabor’, a daily newspaper. They have chosen TPH as their most preferred supplier in
this venture by placing an order for a 5-tower Orient X-Cel press. This 560 mm. cutoff machine with all
automation features has 5 Towers & 2 Folders. This 36,000 cph machine is expected to be installed by Jan.
next year.
Orient in Ipex 2010 at Birmingham, UK
TPH participated in Ipex 2010 from 18-25 May, at Birmingham, in close coordination with their marketing
joint venture partners – KBA, Germany.
Visitors to the stand hailed not just from Europe but also from all over the Middle East, Africa, Latin America
etc. Many printers showed keen interest in the Orient Range and finalization with a few customers is in
progress, which will be reported in our next newsletter. Watch this space.
Orient in Expoprint 2010 at Sao Paulo, Brazil
TPH participated in Expoprint 2010 from 23-29 June at Sao Paulo, jointly with KBA, Germany.
Visitors to the stand came from the entire Latin American region. Spadework done during this show should
pave the way for an all-out effort to market ‘Orient’ presses in the Latin American region in close coordination
with KBA / agents. Advanced negotiations are on with a few customers in Brazil, Peru, and Mexico etc.
Orient in Publish Asia 2010 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
At Publish Asia 2010 (3-5 August, 2010) too, TPH participated with KBA, Germany. Besides a sizeable local
presence, the event attracted quite a few serious visitors from other Asian & some African Countries. |
